Editorial Policy
This page explains how jokes end up on MillionJokes and what we will not publish.
Family-friendly by default
Every joke should be suitable for children and adults alike. We do not publish jokes that are sexual, crude, violent or mean-spirited, and we do not publish humor that targets people for their race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, appearance, age or disability.
Where the jokes come from
Many jokes on the site are traditional puns, riddles and knock-knock jokes that are part of shared folk humor and have no single known author. Others were submitted by readers or written by our editors. We do not copy curated collections from other publishers.
How we edit
We tidy grammar and punctuation, remove duplicates within a list, and drop jokes that are confusing or rely on outdated references. Lists are organized by topic and audience so that each page has a clear purpose.
Updates and corrections
We revisit lists over time to add new jokes and remove weak ones. The date shown on each list is the date it was last updated. To report a problem, email info@millionjokes.com with the page address and joke number.
Advertising
MillionJokes is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over which jokes we publish. Ads are always clearly separated from our content.
